Evaluation of the Samsung CLP-300N
Posted by: adminThe Samsung CLP-300n colour laser printer is suited to a wide variety of customers including home users, small businesses and even students who may currently use an inkjet printer. One of the main problems with colour laser printers is their high priced printer cartridges but the CLP-300n is different, Samsung CLP-300n toner cartridges are much smaller than the usual Samsung toner cartridges and although these seems they yield less pages it also means they are affordable. The network ready CLP-300N is the smallest colour laser printer in it class and it not hard to see why when you see it in the flesh. The unit features NO NOIS™ system which helps give the CLP-300n is super quiet operating noise level. The overall build quality of the CLP-300n is very good considering its price tag and the fact that it’s a entry level budget printer. Print quality is also a nice surprise, we were not expecting a lot from the CLP-300n in terms of print quality despite its impressive 2400 x 600dpi print resolution, but it really does print some great result for all types of documents from basic text documents to beautiful full colour prints. Almost everything has a weakness and the CLP-300n’s is print speed, monochrome speeds are pretty good at 16ppm but colour speeds are lacking at 4ppm. As mentioned previously the CLP-300n is very compact and while this is great for desktop space saving it also means there not a lot of room for a decent sized paper tray and as a result the paper tray of the CLP-300n has a capacity of 150 sheets. This and the slow colour printing speed lead to a conclusion that the CLP-300n is not best suited to heavy work loads on a regular basis but it still has a number of great features that make it a great budget solution to a variety of users’ needs.
